Professionals Workshops
The SexEd Collective delivers evidence based professional development workshops for educators, youth workers and professionals who support young people. Sessions are designed to strengthen confidence, knowledge and best practice in delivering and supporting Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) within educational and youth settings.
Workshops support professionals to engage with both core RSE topics and evolving areas of concern, including consent, boundaries, wellbeing, pornography, online relationships and the increasing influence of technology on young peoples lives. Content is grounded in current guidance and contemporary research, supporting professionals to respond to these themes in informed, appropriate and developmentally sensitive ways.
Workshops support professionals to deliver and respond to relationships and sex education topics with confidence, care and best practice. Themes may include:
-core RSE topics and curriculum alignment
-consent, safeguarding and professional boundaries
-puberty, sexual health and STI’s
-supporting discussions around relationships and sexuality
-responding to disclosure and concerns
-pornography, technology and digital culture
-inclusion, diversity and trauma-informed practice
-staff confidence and reflective practice
Training sessions also provide space to reflect on professional boundaries, safeguarding responsibilities and the challenge of navigating sensitive conversations. Workshops are delivered in a supportive, respectful environment, encouraging discussion, reflection and shared learning without judgement or pressure.
The SexEd Collective aims to support professionals to feel equipped, confident and supported in their role, strengthening the wider network of adults working to promote young peoples wellbeing, safety and healthy relationships.
